Gratitude: Capstone Project

Capstone Project at Sora Schools
At Sora, all fourth-year high school students complete a multifaceted reflective work that serves as a mandatory graduation requirement, called a Capstone Project. This project is designed to encourage students to think critically and to further develop the skills fostered during the third-year Industry Mentorship Program.

As part of the Capstone process, Hailey created or documented the following:

• A year-long reflective journal
• A CV outlining service and leadership
• A letter of motivation to attend KU Leuven in Belgium
• A final reflection of the Sora experience as a graduating student

Here are Hailey’s final reflections as a Sora student, shared with her peers:

“My time at Sora has been refreshing, difficult, and rewarding. I’ve learned and retained things I probably never would have heard or learned about in a conventional school. I’m grateful for my experience and for having the chance to build presentations and projects that are invaluable to me.”
