Nostalgia

Nostalgia

My parent’s house is pure magic,

I just miss it so much in the winter.

The eternal fog in the streets,

The warm of the kitchen,

The delicious food and my family.

I love to visit in spring,

Different birds singing

Wake you up every day.

And when you go to bed,

Several crickets lull you into sleep.

I miss my summers growing up,

Riding my bicycle on the street

With my sisters and some friends.

Not too far and not too late,

So my mom could see us there.

In the fall we started school,

I remember the excitement.

The anticipation for a new beginning.

Meeting old and new friends,

More stories and memories to make.

Growing up in the 80’s was magic.

I always felt safe

I always felt happy

I was a kid, in a lovely home,

Just living my life and discovering the world.
