Meet the Hamilton Family

Our family has been homeschooling for 11 years. We’ve faced challenges throughout our journey, such as working full-time and finding a curriculum that addresses our daughter’s learning style.

After much searching, we found a solution that’s been a game-changer for us: Sora. Sora is a project-based learning program that encourages creativity and independence, two of our homeschooling values. Transitioning to this live online program with real-world projects led by faculty has skyrocketed our daughter’s confidence and enthusiasm for learning.

In addition to the tremendous social, emotional, and educational growth our daughter has experienced, we have become surrounded by a community that values educational freedom and real-world learning as much as our family does. Sora holistically prepares the students to take on the world after high school, whatever that may be. I'm sure other families are navigating similar challenges, so I wanted to share what worked for us.

Meet the Johnson Family

Our family began homeschooling in 2021 when traditional classrooms did not meet our son’s needs. While homeschooling was rewarding, we wanted him to have access to an array of teachers, a strong peer community, and more advanced opportunities as he approached middle school. That’s when we discovered Sora.

Sora’s project-based learning and unique classes, like Green Eggs and Hamlet, transformed traditional academics into something engaging that our son genuinely looks forward to. Unlike traditional virtual schools, Sora’s innovative, student-centered approach is designed specifically for online learning.

Since joining, our son has grown tremendously—he is more confident, independent, and thriving in a supportive community of peers and educators. The schedule’s flexibility allows him to pursue his passions, and Sora’s parent support has empowered us as partners in his education.

Rated the best online school

If you're looking for a flexible, engaging, and innovative approach to education, Sora Schools is the perfect choice. Unlike traditional schools, Sora offers a personalized learning experience that allows students to explore their passions, take control of their education, and thrive in a supportive community. Excellent teachers and staff. Highly engaging and strong rigor!

We were looking for a school I could work ahead in, and SORA IS THE ONE!!! I am so glad to have found the wonderful team and students of Sora and to have learned so much in the interactive classes. We are not a student body; we are an interconnected family!

Sora has been transformative for our middle school daughter. This is her first year at Sora and she is thriving. She is taking on so many new tasks, becoming independent with her own learning, and getting so many important life skills with group projects and clubs. She is so happy, both socially supported by teachers and peers, and academically challenged and supported. I can happily say that our family is grateful for our choice, and to watch her having such a positive transition to middle school is priceless. Sora's model of schooling meets the demands of today's world, and I can see all the careful planning, and preparation they do to make it all run seamlessly.
